The play is based on Book VI of the Aeneid, but so loosely that it might be called a parody or spoof. Its purpose, however, is serious: to give students a thoroughly enjoyable means of increasing their skills in Latin. Students can not only read the play in Latin and translate it but also speak it and memorize it and perform it and at the same time learn and have fun. By James Tyler with illustrations by Iris Penelope Niles and Robert D.C. Brown. Published by ACL. Spiral bound. 72 pages.
